Janet Krahenbuhl has worked in various capacities the dental field for the past 3 decades. She had practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist for many years , was in Dental Practice Administration and is currently a Certified Dental Assistant and Dental School Insrtuctor. Her Passion for dentistry is carried forth with the desire to inspire others in the field.
Janet Krahenbuhl is the Academic Director of Weekend Dental Assistant School for almost a decade now. Janet Krahenbuhl is a full time dental instructor. There are classes three times per year. The next graduating class will be in November of 2013. Students are very proud of their acomplishments. They will be surrounded by all their friends and family at their graduation ceremony.The Chairside Dental Assistant School is approved by the State of Wisconsin Educational Approval Board. It is an 80 hour Course, offered in Appleton Wisconsin. There is 100% student satisfaction and students report loving the hands-on participation in the course. There is also positive feedback with the talented instructors teaching this course. They really care about the students "getting it". It is shown that students always learn at a higher rate of speed with this hands-on training. There is both clinical and academic training. The clinical portion includes but is not limited to: dental x-rays (Bite-wings, periapical full mouth series and panoramic), impressions and their pour up in plaster or stone, treatment room disinfection, sterilization of dental instruments, dental instrument passing in the proper orientation, handling and passing the needle and syringe, and more. The academic portion is covered using excellent dental textbooks that students are required to have.
Dentists in Wisconsin and surrounding states and dental practice administrators are appreciative and have thanked Janet Krahenbuhl for being a part of this school and for the qualified applicants it brings to their area. Teaching Dental Assistant students is a rewarding experience not only for the instructors, but for the students as well. Many students report that learning this new career is lifechanging and they have been able to enter a career thay have always wanted to.
